Ideas Don't Thrive in Isolation: Small Business Month Gala Dinner comes to Nelson Bay

Port Stephens' business community is invited to the NSW Small Business Month Gala Dinner at Nelson Bay Golf Club on Thursday 15 October from 6pm, an evening dedicated to connection, collaboration and the people behind our local businesses.
Why connection matters
Hosted by Business Port Stephens and Port Stephens Women in Business, the dinner takes its theme, Ideas Don't Thrive in Isolation, from a challenge many business owners will recognise. The world has never been more connected, yet plenty of owners and professionals feel isolated, overwhelmed and cut off from the people around them.
The evening will explore why great ideas grow out of meaningful relationships, shared experiences and genuine conversation, and offer practical insights into building healthier, more connected and more resilient businesses.
The speakers
- Brian Sobel, event MC and facilitator
- Dale Hourihan, cyber security consultant
- Kate Preston, Strive Hive Psychology
Together they will look at where innovation, wellbeing and the growing Unplugged movement meet, encouraging guests to reconnect with themselves, their communities and those around them. Kate is also a founding director of Port Stephens Unplugged.
Dinner, music and networking
Tickets are $59 per person and include a drink on arrival and a two-course seated dinner, with dessert selections shared at each table. Live music comes courtesy of local musicians from St Philip's Christian College, and there will be prizes on the night.
Above all, it is a chance to spend an evening networking, learning and being inspired alongside local business leaders and professionals.
