Is Advertising Sales Your Thing?

Do you enjoy explaining value, and helping people to buy?

Would you like to include a ‘choose your own hours, commission-based sales role’ into your lifestyle?

What’s On In Our Backyard‘ is now taking expressions of interest, for phone/field based sales positions.

Ideal candidates should possess the following:

  • At least 12 months previous experience in an advertising sales position
  • A confident and friendly personality
  • A self-motivated, driven, hard working approach with the ability to reach sales goals
  • The ability to work reliably and independently
  • Listening skills and note-taking proficiency
  • Knowledge of our printed magazine, website and Facebook page and a passion to assist local businesses in promoting their goods/services to our readership of approx. 10,000 local families

Our Advertising Sales Representative will need to establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with all businesses we sell advertising space to.

You will need:

  • Internet access and proficiency in emailing and the use of software, including Excel/Word
  • Car
  • Mobile phone

Generous rates of commission are available.
