“Go Behind the Curtain” Free Open Day – Civic Theatre & City Hall

In the 90th year of the magnificent Civic Theatre and majestic City Hall, they are throwing open the doors of both venues to celebrate their historic past and bright futures. You’re invited to a family-friendly open day. With free music and entertainment in Wheeler Place, backstage tours of the Civic Theatre – complete with amazing behind-the-scenes sneak peeks at how shows are staged – and tours of City Hall, where you’ll be able to learn more about the history of these remarkable buildings and be serenaded in the Concert Hall by the stunning Steinway. This is a free event and open to all ages. Don’t miss the event launch at midday, it promises some surprises too. No Bookings or RSVP required for tours. The distinctive aroma and flavours of our best loved cocktails, will be showcased at Murray’s inaugural “Summer Send Cocktail Carnivale” across the weekend of 29 February and 1 March. “Most people know us for our experimental beers, but we’ve recently begun experimenting with craft spirits too – and we’re loving it! So much so that we’ve created a new festival around cocktails to send off summer,” said brewery owner, Murray Howe. “We figure partnering cocktails with live music will create the perfect atmosphere for some chill out time with friends and family. And even if cocktails are not your thing, there’s so much going on at Murray’s you’re still bound to have a great time anyway.” Free Concerts Free live concerts will feature across the weekend – headlined by the Mick Jones performing Saturday 29 February. Mick is a well-known and well-respected vocalist and guitarist who has supported the likes of Keith Urban, The Divinyls and The Choirboys. Matt McLaren performs his brand of pop, funk, dance and blues covers on Sunday 1 March. NEW Vodka Release In addition to Murray’s flagship ‘Gentleman Smith’ Gin and Vodka, Murray’s is releasing a new vodka especially for the festival. Murray’s ‘COCONUT’ premium vodka is smooth and creamy to the taste. Enjoy mixed with your favourite juice for a tropical sensation or simply enjoy neat over ice. Craft Spirits Learn all about distilling, and getting the most out of tasting craft spirits! Murray’s distiller will be at the festival all weekend to answer any questions you have. Craft Cocktails Murray’s will be serving up a large range of non-traditional vodka and gin-based cocktails – as you probably haven’t experienced before. Stay with us for Sunset Happy Hour, happening both days between 4-6pm. And More . . . Of course the usual line-up of Murray’s award winning craft beers will also be pouring. The kitchen will be serving up great summer barbecue dishes, beer-based gourmet pizzas, fish tacos, delicious burgers and an array of healthy food options and kids’ meals too. There’s lots to keep the kids happy, with outdoor games such as hermit crab races plus an interactive scavenger hunt game to play . FREE Kids Activities @ Shoal Bay Country Club

Free kids activities at Shoal Bay Country Club every Sunday from 12-2pm. Every Sunday we host an alternating roster of activities for the kids, including jumping castle, kids disco, projector games, table tennis & more. Be sure to keep an eye out for our special events and school holiday programs which include pony rides, petting zoo, reptile shows, crafts day, slime workshops and much more. All events are interactive and hosted by our friendly staff. Please note that you cannot drop kids off, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
